How do you get that siloky smooth 'car finish' reflection?... I spray 2-3 times with future, it looks glossy but not quite a car finish with the nice smooth reflection

I use the Testors Lacquer paints mostly, you can buff them after a coat or two. then put on decals, then wipe down with micro fiber towel to remove fingerprints and smudges, then use the wet look spray to finish. That's my way of doing it. That's why I don't get lines from my decals and they don't peel or get scratched off with age. My Challenger and the Georgia Trooper car are my best examples.

ok, so my thoughts aren't too far off, it's those results that'll take effort, I am only 20 kits into the hobby, and the last 11 of those are with new noob airbrush skillz... oh, the Datsun is done. Turned out really well 🙂 How many Kits have you completed? and what do you do with them when they are done, display them? box 'em? It's cool that you've taken an interest in a noob like me, but thanks a ton! oh and your american muscle album is wicked impressive 🙂

I think I have about 75 completed in the house,Just put up on bookshelves and tables. Airbrushing just takes practice and the right paint/thinner mixture and humidity plays a huge factor in painting. And as stated in the past, us car guys are kinda rare on here and we're pretty tight.

eBay can be your best friend too ! LOL And yes there are plenty of us nut-jobs with hundreds of kits ! Heck I have a few buddy's on here that are in the thousands ! But if I have a kit you need, let me know, we do trade and barter on here and honestly I think I have more kits than I have days left alive to complete them all ! LOL !!!!!

"honestly I think I have more kits than I have days left alive to complete them all ! LOL !!!!!" Hey... at least your honest about it 😛 but there's just something about needing just one more... or getting a new box in your hands, peeling the plastic... that's addicting.... and that's just opening the box... then the build is a whole other fun process... with a few swear words, lol *thinking* gotta be slow, gotta be careful, gotta be patient, gotta b...[slip] MOTHER FU*KER, DAMN DAMN.... OK...gotta be slow.... lol and it's really theraputic for me... by the way, what kind of micro fiber towel... car size, or small thin glasses type?, and can you toss them in the wash when dirty, or toss and replace?

Small thin one, just to get fingerprints and oils, smudges off before you clear coat. I got mine at car parts store, but any would work fine I guess. And Trust me I know all about the "Just one More" factor ! you really think I Need 14 1968 Bullitt Mustang kits and 17 2008 Bullitt Mustang kits, No ! but I do LOL !!
