Grumman S-2F-1 Tracker

This was difficult project. Kit was hard to assemble and needed lots of carving to make parts to fit together, putty and sanding. Idea of building version from late 1950 felt good idea at first. Finding proper decals was bit harder and plane has now decals from three different sets, Blackbird decals, which I find at the end of project, were best in quality. Mk- 44 torps are from Eduard, rockets are leftover from some other kit.

I found the same thing, Reader. The HobbyCraft copy of the Hasegawa kit is just not the same quality.

You did very well with your's.

If you look at the S-2 timeline, you would see that Hasegawa did an "early version" of the Blue aircraft and decals. Too late to help you now, I know.

Rex: Thank you, I found that after I started building this one. If I return to Tracker again I will pick Hasegawa's model for that project.
