Hi Murad, i have the HobbyBoss one at home, too. Your kit parts look very warped... The fit of mine wasnt that bad...

Holger i am surprised too! haven't seen anyone mentioning the HB tomcats with such issues so far, i'm inclined that it's my bad luck...

Seems to be a typical "Monday kit"...

Very nice "Cat", you've done an excellent job, like Holly mentioned I too have this kit partial built and everything has just fallen into place. I even closed the doors that you have open and the nose as well, all parts fit very well.

Beautiful result Murad, the terrible fit didn't affected the end result mate! 👍

Awesome work!
Btw does anybody know what the best F-14 kit is at the moment? I can get the Hasegawa, Tamiya and Eduard kit for a nice price, but don't know which I should choose?!

Tamiya is far and away the best kit in 1/48 available right now. The only issue is that the kit only depicts an early Tomcat, late 70s to very early 80s. If you want to do a later F-14A, you will need to get a Steel Beach Block 125 update set. If you want to do a B or D Tomcat, the best out there is Hasegawa, but that kit is a pain to build. Hobby Boss is supposed to be easier to build than the Hasegawa, but there are some inaccuracies with the kit. AMK is coming out with an F-14D early next year, so it might be worth waiting for that as well.

Thx!
I was thinking of making a 70s F-14 so Tamiya is my way to achieve it then😉

But the part breakdown from the sprues tell me that a B and D will follow. You can see it at the gun vents, the antenna´s the Phoenix etc.

very nice, congrats

Holger is correct, the parts breakdown and sprue set up makes it obvious that other versions are planned. The only issue is when? Based on how Tamiya released different versions of the F-16, it may be a year or so before we get the next variant.
