Instructions seem to be pretty clear.
Unfortunately there are no color instructions for the interior which is quite a pitty as there seem to be no pictures on the net to give any hint on it (at least I didn't find any).

Casting is immaculate.

The parts separate quite easily from the casting blocks.

Everything you need to further detail in- and exterior. I missed only one part, which is an antenna one of the two planes that can be build with this kit, features on the available internet images.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/3/8/4/1474384-86785-92-720.jpg)
The clear resin parts look very transparent. Triple check the cut line on the rear canopy part.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/3/9/0/1474390-86785-46-720.jpg)
One of the planes decals are provided for.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/9/1/1474391-86785-61-720.jpg)
And finally the one I am going to build.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/3/8/9/1474389-86785-43-720.jpg)
The decals look very promising too.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/0/7/5/1475075-86785-44-720.jpg)
Ok. Let's start. As I haven't found any information whatsoever on the interior colors I was free to choose something to my liking. I decided on a light gray as base color.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/0/7/1/1475071-86785-73-720.jpg)
The floor got a wooden design as the plane is a wood construction and covered with plywood too, I considered this not too unreasonable.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/0/7/3/1475073-86785-28-720.jpg)
The upholstery on the seats and cockpit sides were depicted as leather.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/0/7/4/1475074-86785-99-720.jpg)
And here we are with the finished cockpit. The tank was kept in aluminum.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/0/6/9/1475069-86785-59-720.jpg)
Everything fits like a glove. I lost one of the control sticks and had to fashion a new one.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/0/7/0/1475070-86785-42-720.jpg)
The PE parts add to the nice appearance. The compass below the dashboard received a compass decal - probably never to be seen again. 😉
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/0/7/2/1475072-86785-88-720.jpg)
So far I am happy with my design decisions.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/5/2/7/1475527-86785-14-720.jpg)
Some of the few minor improvements: the control surfaces of the stabilizer were bent as most of the pictures of parked planes show these surfaces droped. Those surfaces are connected by a rod that leads through a gap at the vertical stabilizer. So I opened that hole and fashioned the rod.
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/5/2/0/1475520-86785-61-720.jpg)
The clear resin parts were added and required some attention and care. The little rear window sat too high so that I had to remove the support rim. At the right hand side I had to shim the frame the clear part rests at with an 0.2 mm styrene strip to get a good alignment with the fuselage. The part with the windshield needed meticulous adjustment too before it was glued into place.
Before masking a polishing session was due (the inside received the same treatment before mounting 😉 )

![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/5/2/2/1475522-86785-13-720.jpg)
Finally a coat of gloss black base paint to check for blemishes (the window frames were painted interior grey as a first layer).
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/8/0/9/1476809-86785-78-720.jpg)
Correcting all the blemishes I came across.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/8/0/7/1476807-86785-80-720.jpg)
I hope the vigorous handling is over. So the more delicate parts were added and aligned very well.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/8/0/8/1476808-86785-73-720.jpg)
You might have realized that I cut out the control surfaces and attached them in a slightly non-neutral position to add a bit more visual interest.
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/6/5/6/1478656-86785-25-720.jpg)
this little plane is painted silver all over. So to prevent an all too boring visual effect I decided to color the base differently. I conciously decided against marbeling as the pics of the original plane look very even. This is underlined by the fact, that the fuselage is plated with plywood and shows a flawless finish. So the bottom received a black coat, as did the control surface of the vertical stabilizer and the ailerons.
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/6/5/7/1478657-86785-53-720.jpg)
The cockpit window frame was painted first with the interior grey color. This I used as well for the upper side of the split flaps and the wing root.
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/6/5/8/1478658-86785-99-720.jpg)
paint the base in middle gray color, check for blemishes, sand/scrape/polish - repeat. But at least I am very happy that I deviated from the instructions and did not mount the front end as this would have made my sanding life even more difficult than it has been done by the nasty little cheat line along the fuselage already.
I mentioned in the caption to pic 21 that I shimmed the right side of the rear canopy. In retrospect I should have done it on the left side too. Too late did I discover that the window frame does not protude nicely above the fuselage surface as it does on the right side. Maybe the hint will improve someone elses build at least.

![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/6/5/9/1478659-86785-57-720.jpg)
Aaaand another sanding session. As expected, the seam between the wingpart and the fuselage was challenging as were the edges of all the clear parts. Another coat of gray.
![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/6/6/0/1478660-86785-42-720.jpg)
After three times doing this I am still not 100% happy, but I will stick with this.

Preparing a little base. Thanks Sven for the nice board you fashioned for me.
![Album image #32 Album image #32](/albums/img/3/1/6/1479316-86785-22-720.jpg)
Done. The base coat with all the different shades is ready for speed silver.
![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/3/1/7/1479317-86785-76-720.jpg)
I tried to emphasize the 3D silhouette of the controll areas by shading them with white.

![Album image #39 Album image #39](/albums/img/3/1/8/1479318-86785-58-720.jpg)
Added the hood.
![Album image #40 Album image #40](/albums/img/3/2/5/1479325-86785-61-720.jpg)
My idea for a small vignette. Next step will be the top coat.
![Album image #41 Album image #41](/albums/img/4/3/6/1482436-86785-22-720.jpg)
Finally silver.
![Album image #42 Album image #42](/albums/img/4/3/7/1482437-86785-42-720.jpg)
Now the question is:
Is good good enough or do I strive for perfection? Some flaws escaped my ol eyes before.

![Album image #43 Album image #43](/albums/img/4/3/8/1482438-86785-76-720.jpg)
The color went on nicely but not perfect everywhere. I will sleep over it. 🙂
![Album image #44 Album image #44](/albums/img/0/8/5/1490085-86785-60-720.jpg)
The cockpit frames are much shinier than the painted fuselage and wings. So, another masking round followed after sealing the silver paint with varnish.
![Album image #45 Album image #45](/albums/img/0/8/2/1490082-86785-68-720.jpg)
And here it is. The boarding area on the left wing was masked and painted too. Demasking was surprisingly uneventful. A little black overspray went with a few strokes of a 6000 grit sandpaper.
![Album image #46 Album image #46](/albums/img/0/8/3/1490083-86785-41-720.jpg)
Decals and details will be the next steps.

Decalling. The decals behaved well and went on without issues. To achieve conforming them into panel lines Micro Sol was not sufficient. Mr. Mark Softener Superstrong did the job without ruining the paint job.
![Album image #52 Album image #52](/albums/img/3/5/0/1490350-86785-35-720.jpg)

![Album image #62 Album image #62](/albums/img/6/0/5/1498605-86785-36-720.jpg)
The base is finished. The little styrene frame was filled with wall plaster to which I added some white glue to prevent cracks while drying and brown color.
![Album image #63 Album image #63](/albums/img/6/0/6/1498606-86785-33-720.jpg)
Onto the painted "earth" a strip of 6 mm fibers were planted along the fence. At the airfield area I dusted some part with the aid of an irregular mask, added then some spots of very fine scatter and covered the whole area with a mix of 2 mm fibers. Where fibers wouldn't stick I added some hairspray and repeated the process.
![Album image #64 Album image #64](/albums/img/6/0/4/1498604-86785-14-720.jpg)
The fence was build using toothpicks and tiny scraps of oak veneer. Everything was bathed in Tamiya panelliner dark and light gray. Bits of some long stapled moss I collected on a walk completed the garden work around the fence.

After finishing a literally a decade old project and two other long standing ones, I rewarded myself with the start of a new build that looks pretty straightforward on first glance. It will be built out of the box (which sounds a bit funny referring to a resin based multimedia kit 😉 )
The plane was originally build by Miles in the thirties and a handful survived into the present day. I think that the clean lines and surfaces of this plywood coated beauty are emphasized best by a civilian livery. Quite a few pictures can be found on the net of this - obviously quite recently - restored little plane in speckless attire.
So, off we go.

Good work so far (I must say I am happy to have few SBS model models in my stash - looks like they are very modeller-friendly ones)

Hi Alex and Lukasz, welcome.
@ Robert: This is my first experience with a SBS Mdodel-kit and it builds very easily. So I suppose you will have fun with your kits too.
@Lukasz: it certainly is tempting - even if I decided to build the silver one.

Oh, I guess due to my trip I overlooked this. What a beauty 👍
What have you used as silver/metal paint?
I think you can improve the stickiness of the HGW rivets with the blue cap Gunze Mark Setter. After Eduard recommends it if you want to remove the carrier I used it also with good results on HGW 3D rib tapes. It looks like the blue cap contains some glue like white glue, which helps.

Thank you guys for the nice feedback.
I think so too, that this is a nice plane in a lovely livery. And SBS Models did a very nice kit of it. If you are new to resin and want to give it a try this is a kit you might consider.

@bughunter: thanks for the advice on the HGW rivet decals. I'll give it a try.
The colors used on this build are Alclad II. The whole plane is painted Speed Silver and the canopy frame received Airframe Aluminum. Both spray extremely fine. But watch out to spray very thin coats. Otherwise the thinner will redissolve the (Alclad) primer.

Thanks Michael!
I have many shades of Alclad on my shelf, but the existence of High Speed Silver has somehow passed me by.

Frank, I stumbled over this shade just by chance. I think it is rather new too.

@bughunter: go ahead, I have some spares to replant. 🙂
@ MS K: nice to hear for that's what I was aiming for. It was a learning curve but now I have some tweaks and come closer to the desired effect.

Great kit from SBS Models of an elegant small sports plane. I declare plane and the little vignette done.
Hope you have a swell weekend.
Happy modelling.

Thank you mates. Your comments lift me up.
@Lukasz: which one? The black and white one I suppose. Lovely note, that he reminds you of your companion.
@Neuling: the biggest of praises. 🙂 I am really flattered - not least as it comes from somebody who fooled quite a few here with his models and their presentation who mistook them for the real thing.

Album info
A beautiful resin based multimedia-kit. I was sold when I opened the package and so was the kit soon after.
Never have heard of that plane before I saw the kit at SBS Models stand at the Modelling Convention in Moson
Let's see if this builds into a Tamiya-like resin kit as I expect it to.
