Nice work and looks great camouflaged rather than NMF 👍

I built the two seat version a number of years ago when I got back into modelling and recall a lot of difficulty trying to position the upper fuselage panel that the canopy attaches to, and getting it looking right (I never did) The panel lines wouldn't line up either if I recall.
Kind of put me off tackling the single seat version which I also have in the stash.

Album info

The kit is an early Trumpeter mold, so it's a little bit more of a short run kit. I used the Neomega resin cockpit, the Quickboost resin nose and resin air scoops and the Master Pitot tube (the one with the silicon parts). Usinf the resin cockpit was a mistake because nothing is visible after the kit is finished. No matter how simple and boring the kit's cockpit is, build it and it won't matter anyway. The resin nose took a lot of effort, I struggled a lot to get it in place. The resin front landing gear housing comes as one part with the resin cockpit, which is not very meaningful, too. The resin air scops are also not meaningful, they are not much different from the ones in the kit. These bothered me a lot. Other than that, the fuselage is a two-piece one (left-right), the front part had to be bent a bit. But in the cockpit area (they made the design to be able to make the single and double seaters from the same mold, it was a real pain to sit it in. It took a lot of filing for the canopy windows as well. I kept the rear landing gears upside down for more than 12 hours to keep them intact, but it still bent over time. The kit is a very old mold, there is a lot of flash, injection pins in many places that need to be cleaned, etc. Horizontal stabilizers are very problematic, I had to set up a construction site and leave the plane there for 5-6 hours to set in place and fix them there, then I had to fill the remaining gaps with putty. You will need to cut off a piece of the tail to add a piece, be careful. I have to cut the spikes at the ends of the horizontals and glue the curved ones, I kept breaking them permanently, after a while they didn't even want to get glued in place. But somehow i managed it. Finally, I broke the master pitot tube by hitting it. I glued it on but the silicone parts got a lot of damage. Now I have Flagon A (early period) and Flagon G (double seater), but I won't touch them for a long time now. I wish you a lot of patience and attention while building this one.
