I did a B-24... so a B-25 is the next one to do, right?

Yeap! And I thought I saw something in the background of the "lights-on" Me-262 pic... So... are you gonna start building in alpha-numerical order???

Ok, you have the lights and the propellers working, time to animate your rudders and ailerons!!!

Haha thanks guys! And no, Dave, I don't think I'll be getting in to that level of detailing any time soon.

Greg is going fast ... And are you hiding a Buccaneer in the background ?

Haha... yep. I decided to rescue a couple of projects from the shelf of doom. Updates soon.

The main painting is now done... just a few odds and ends now.

Thanks Jonathan. This is the same mould as the Minicraft kit (albeit a much earlier pop) and no, the 4 fifties in the nose aren't included - and neither are the radio antennas. So I drilled out the hole both on the nose as well as the two on the sides of the cabin and I plan to use a bit of stiff wire painted with gunmetal. I'll take pics as we go (and that's basically the next step) so I'm happy to have you follow along.

Hi Jonathan. I drilled 0.5mm holes... and conveniently that's the same diameter as the wire I used!😉 I used the kit parts for the tail, bubble and side guns, but all the forward-facing guns were drilled out. Maybe I should've made it consistent... but oh, well. The decals on this old kit were extremely brittle and I somehow managed to smudge the left fuselage side one. Luckily I have a very similar one in the spares box, but it's noticeable whiter than the old ones. All that's left to do now is string the radio wire and finish off the base.

Thanks Jonathan! I can't wait to see what you do with yours! Please let me know when you get going on it. I wouldn't want to miss the action. As for the Toryu... not quite. That's a 1/144 scale Ki-45 sitting on top of a 1/144 scale Toryu box. 😉. Aoshima put two kits in a box and made sure there was lots of breathing room. Thanks guys. Jonathan - that's a funny coincidence. I've been a bit enamoured with the Japanese WWII planes lately as well. I've picked up a couple more that will be showing up around here sooner or later. Also, don't worry about skill levels... mine is rank amateur compared to some of the masters floating around here. We're all just here to have fun and learn from each other.

Anyway, now that this project's done, I think I'll be dusting off a few more of the "stranded on the shelf of doom" ones that I've been meaning to finish. In the meantime, I've also updated my personal blog with this build - so if you want to see a short 10 second video proving that the propellors actually spin, you can find it here - strobez.ca/wp/index...ican-b-25h-mitchell/

... and I think I simply love this old, small-scale kits, like this B-25. Great job!

Amateur? No way Greg... you are much better than that.... and we all know it. Easy to see with beauties like this jewel😉
