I have the Minicraft French Skyraider in my stash. How is the kit?

This one went together pretty well. Only a little bit of putty in places on the fuselage seams and the leading and trailing edges of the wing. I didn't get a good fit around the canopy, but that's most likely due to modeler error. Since the kit has the breaks optionally open or closed, to make the French version, I had to close and seal them up. My one issue here is that I wasn't careful enough when gluing them in and they sank into the fuselage a little. Putting some kind of spacer behind the brake to keep it flush with the fuselage would have made it easier to seal. It would have also saved me from having to try to blend in the depression with the rest of of fuselage. Hopefully I won't have any issues with the landing gear and gear doors. I'm not particularly looking forward to having to cut them apart. If I had a spare pilot figure laying around, this would have been a good option to do a wheels up display with PropBlurs.

Finally getting back to working on this. Poorly insulated workspace has been a little too cold lately to do much of anything.
