A third Italeri F-14 built in parallel with the other 2 lo vis US Navy ones. For some reason this didn't go together as well as the other 2. Still not a bad kit though. Pity the raised panel lines are mostly fictional around the cockpit however

Slightly easier paint job in that they are relatively clean airframes in this blue/grey scheme. Colours are humbrol 28 and 48

The grey is lighter in real life than the photo. Only issue is the grey is matt, the blue gloss out of the tins.

Decals in progress. The HDL decals are well printed and well priced. They settled well but are extremely thin and therefore very fragile. I lost a few but had a second sheet for replacements.

The anti glare panel is from an old Fujimi kit decal sheet. A bit too big for the Italeri though.
