Halberstadt Cl.II

The tail assembly is very fragile and does not fit well. I had to drill out and use 24 gauge wire to hold together 

I tried a new technique to get a proper gun metal look. I first primed it using Vallejo Mecha black primer (the best acrylic primer in my opinion). I then dry brushed Vallejo aluminum and rust to mimic weathering. I then using sandpaper created some carbon black from an HB pencil and using a dense sponge polished it into the piece. I'll never do guns with any other technique!

One great thing about this kit is that the top wing comes in 3 sections allowing for the installation of the middle section first. This makes aligning the other parts a breeze 🙂
