This kit is a gift from a fellow Scalemates mate, as well as a Viggen that will duly built after this Tunnan. Thanks Kevin.

Saddly there was some missing injection in one wing.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/7/0/4/1506704-15588-78-720.jpg)
Some putty ... This stuff should not be used in a retro-modelling project, but is the only way to go on with it.

![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/7/0/6/1506706-15588-43-720.jpg)
Rather "complete" cockpit for a Matchbox kit.... retro-painted. Green with black and silver dials.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/9/0/6/1518906-15588-51-720.jpg)
Some lead has been added to the nose and cockpit has been glued in place. Time to close the fuselage. Also it's time to made my mind up about the decoration.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/0/8/1529108-15588-89-720.jpg)
Decals from the kit are cracked but I think I can use the stencils and the badge. Roundels are not usable, .... And as I don't have 6 Austrian roundels I'll go for a Swedish bird.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/3/5/1529135-15588-31-720.jpg)
As usual I'm taking some of my projects with me on my holidays .... This time only four days in August.
First coat of H8 Gunze Silver has been hand brushed.

Second coat of Gunze silver paint. Wing roots need to be sanded.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/2/7/8/1554278-15588-23-720.jpg)
As usual, I'm taking with me my most recent projects during my holidays. This time 9 days in the Pyrenees.

ARRG !!!! While making pressure to fit the fuel tanks in their slot ,,, I heard a crack .... And that's it ..... upper wing flexed and putty went away .... I'll try to fix this disaster at home.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/8/2/8/1572828-15588-85-720.jpg)
First of all msking tape is used to pretect the wing.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/8/2/7/1572827-15588-98-720.jpg)
Grenn Putty in place , but not the Sqadron putty , but a putty made by Green Stuff World in Spain. It's like Vallejo acrylic putty but as much more grip to plastic.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/8/2/9/1572829-15588-10-720.jpg)
Water can be used to remove the unwanted putty. And dries very quick.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/3/1/1572831-15588-72-720.jpg)
First session of putty + paint ... The gap is still there .
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/8/3/0/1572830-15588-30-720.jpg)
After three putty sessions ,,,, the result is quite good.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/8/3/3/1572833-15588-96-720.jpg)
Some panel have been painted im different shades of silver.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/8/3/4/1572834-15588-92-720.jpg)
When decalling was almost complete ,,, I had to leave. On my return I took a brush which still had alcohol in it ,,,, When wetting the wing in order to put the decal in place ... AAARGGG .... the alcohol disolved the paint .....
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/8/3/5/1572835-15588-31-720.jpg)
At least I had almost all the decalling complete. So, I'll have to wait until the paint is fully dry , sand it, and paint again.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/7/9/7/1577797-15588-52-720.jpg)
Thos model is a tremendous tail-sitter ,,, I just about to notice that. I've just put lots and lots of lead to solve that ...

Thanks mates.
Well Alberto ,,, not such an ace ... she brings the crochet project with her ... I could say it's a wiin-win.
She even makes crochet when traveling by car in the front passenger seat.
😉
Each one has its own hobby project ... Bringing crochet and scale models projects it's a very useful plan B if it happens to get bad weather ...

Album info
This time I've started another model for the Matchbox 50th anniversary group. This will be a retro-modelling project, that is using the skills I had when the kit was released, i.e. no putty , no airbrush ... just careful building and paiting. This very kit was given to me by a fellow mate. Thanks Kevin .
