Iron Maiden Aces High Stageversion

Album image #1
Maybe I'll buy me some PE-Parts next year

Album image #2
Eddie taking seat for the first time. Left arm follows when I finish the cockpit.

Album image #3
The figure needed a few putty.

Album image #4
Revell should have produced this in clear plastics. So I used a drill and a knife to scoop out the glasses. After painting the frame i'll fill it with Humbrol Clearfix.

Album image #5
Starting with the seat.

Album image #6
I glued the parts F8 and F9 on the wrong sides, so I used Haulers PE-Saws to cut them off.

Album image #7
If you don't use too much glue, the barrs stay moveable.

Album image #8
Album image #9
I use a small wire to keep the cannula clean. Bending it and the cap fits nice.

Album image #10
Had to make a notch into the yahu-panel to glue the vizor.

Album image #11
No problems with building the engine.

Album image #12
Album image #13
testfiting of the fuselage and wings.

Album image #14
Just a little gap at the tail. Also no prob.

Album image #15
Today I started to paint Eddie

Album image #16
I also worked on the Cockpit

Album image #17
At this size the seat looks much worse than in reality. Macro bad 🙁

Album image #18
The sides of the Cockpit.

Album image #19
Album image #20
Testfitting - nice

Album image #21
What you can see...

Album image #22
Album image #23
Eddie is a big man, with big boots.

Album image #24
Testfitting, looks good.

Album image #25
Album image #26
I finished the Figure.

Album image #27
Album image #28
I had to cut off the pedals and needed to the reduce the size of his boots from 48 to 34.

Album image #29
Eddie isn't Eric Brown, so his arms are too long for the small Cockpit.

Album image #30
I just don't close the cockpit. 😉

Album image #31
I made a Hood from paper and tesaband to close the cockpit with Eddie inside. One moore time filling the gaps with putty and I can start the paintjob.

Album image #32
After using putty from Vallejo I sprayed a layer of Tamiya Flat Alu. Looks good to me.

Album image #33
Where wings and fuselage meet... I had to use putty and a lot of sanding, now the rivets are gone 🙁

Album image #34
As I want to build the Stageversion I needed a 4-blade-prop. Revells Abteilung X was very kind 🙂
Just some putty on 2 of 4

Album image #35
I painted the panellines with Mr.Hobby Nr 81.
Took a long time just for this side and there's still the upper side.

Album image #36
The landing gear oob. But I want to show the Spit in flying condition.

Album image #37
Doesn't fit, of course...

Album image #38
That's all I need + the tire.

Album image #39
and some milliput

Album image #40
Now it looks like this.

Album image #41
Long time, no see...
Doesn't look like much, but took me a really long time.

Album image #42
Looks ok for me. Only the underside of the cowling needs another thin layer of Vallejo 71302 Sky type S.

Album image #43
I don't know what it is.
The Dark Green from Vallejo mixed with original thinner. After a few minutes it looks like this?

Album image #44
Spraying the Dark Green.
First it looks like Yellow. I need so much layers to make it look like Dark Green, so the preshading is gone... 🙁

Album image #45
I decided to remove the color on the upper site using spiritus.
It also went on the belly secured with Tese Sensitiv.

Album image #46
The Tamiya tape I used to secure the tail and the belt around the fuselage ripped off the clor too.
What a nice Day...

Album image #47
I feared, that the spiritus also attacked Eddie.
But he is safe.
And angry!
Time to kill some zombies for the rest of the weekend...

Album image #48
Made Masks from paper and fixed them with UHU Patafix.

Album image #49
Painted the dark green from Vallejo

Album image #50
Also on the sides.
Didn't make pics from painting the dark earth.

Album image #51
UHU Patafix changed the green colour. It made it lighter and shinier 🙁

Happy Christmas mates and welcome Munkyslut.

Today I got up pretty early to search the net for some blingbling for my Spitfire.
But after a while I found it would be more fun to build this kit ooB.
Just the Kit, the glue and me 🙂 and the stabilizers from Quickboost of course.
