Nigel Chapman Always interested in colours Christian. I have the same issue in the uk, Any European and Japanese manufacturers, I can get paint, even high end as long as I have the paint code. US vehicles and nothing at all.
Christian W The most work is done. I have to pay attention to the "ghostlines" on the roof. After spraying filler, they come to sight again.
The rest is nearly done. The hood needs a second round of sanding and I have to add the trim to the wind shield. Funny, that the 1977 Firebird doesn't have this trim.

Christian W Some months after, I did nothing with the body but started with the bigger parts. Painted the chassis ligt grey, the engine compartment black and the engine blue. Maybe I'll change that color later. Maybe.

Christian W The basic color of the interior is done. The engine is light blue now.
Christian W Pay attention to the star on the box (NitroBird (MPC 6387, 1:25)). It's different (as always 😄 ) when MPC changed the kit numbers from 1-xxxx to four digits
Bozzer Christian, there's some awesome stuff for Euro trucks, and I believe that they're catching up on the USA stuff. From time to time, I pick up their older stuff on eBay, etc. Sure, it can be expensive, but it all makes for interesting builds. And since I've been in the states, I've got some awesome ideas!

Bozzer @Bill. I love that extended trailer! I have one of those in my stash. I have several friends in the states, who drive big rigs, and they share some of their cool loads with me. I get to see some awesome stuff! I have a Nooteboom lowloader in my stash, and also a bottom dump trailer. I can't wait to get them both built, and show them to you guys 🙂

Christian W Thank you! I just grabbed it. It sits in my office in a little vitrine. Yesterday I photographed mostly all Firebirds after a decent carwash day with gluetime afterwards 😉 This one will be photographed today. Hopefully I can upload all the pictures to the galleries to be satisfied myself an my freinds 😉

Currently I'm working on a 1977 and 1979 Trans Am converting them to hardtop coupe standard birds
@Starbase101 ... I have 3 Aoshima KITT and 1 KARR. I do not have Season 1 by Aoshima.
Nearby I have the 1/25 kit of the 3rd gen Firebird by Revell too. I think, I'll do another Album of those. They will be pictured within my collection soon.
Christian W You're welcome. While I was preparing and writing down my KITT-Kit-Archeology, I forced myself to take pictures at least of all the 1982-1992 kits by MPC, Airfix and AMT/ERTL to be able to show the differneces. So I decided, to photograph all my Pontiac F-Body for a collection.
As today I have 288 built kits in my cellar. So there is a lot of work to do if I want to picture them on scalemates.

I have about 410 kits now
I started about 6-7 but haven't finished any yet
Many are push push about I should build things
In the beginning I did and made some bad mistakes
Dident have tools to build anything
My selection of paints was bad paints from the hardware
after making a mess out of a few kits I decided
To get what I need to do it right first
Getting there now 😆

This one - just to inform you - is a Promo-kit. It is not overdone by me. Not so far. I'm not sure whether to lay my hands on it (or the other Promo-kits) or not because of their value nowerdays. But on the other hand I think they have a propper look deserved.

Christian W Not only on this kit, no, also on the Trans Am I had some trouble to add the front wheels. THey are to wide over the edge. In contrary the rear ones are to wide inside the wheelhouse. Someday I'll correct this.

Bill Newcomer This one I had to shim the cab and sleeper up to get the hood to line up with the cab.
I also molded the chrome grille into the hood to make it the proper body colored frame.
Christian W I see that "problem" with the hood on my Italeri FLD120. Your Truck looks good. When I commented on it, I didn't notice, that your grille is built in smoothly. I also like the nice transitions from the cabin to the sleeper. This is one thing, Italeri didn't make on the FLD120. When I look up pictures online, there is no gap between the cabin and sleeper or on the roof to the deflector.
I'm already looking forward to when the truck arrives.

Ich bin noch immer geschockt und eigentlich viel gewöhnt, da ich mpc- Bausätze fast liebe. Das ist allerdings Hardcore...bauen werde ich ihn. Ohne Frage.
Es ist beschämend.
Zuguterletzt hat sogar das gebaute Modell auf der Bauanleitung den Versatz...das entging mir beim durchblättern 😂
Das die Form überarbeitet wurde? Vielleicht. Die Schleifspuren habe ich auch, der Heckspoiler quasi nicht vorhanden, die Scheiben verkratzt und stumpf...ich denke eher mit Drahtbürste gereinigt.
