Mina RoJust bought this. Curious if anyone knows of a decent Afrika Korps staff or officers set that will fit in with this kit? It could use more than just the included figure of Rommel in the compartment. Maybe 2-3 more figures. Was thinking maybe some of the old dragon figures or verlinden. Hopefully the detail will match the Takom ones. So far I have found one Hobby Fan figure set that might be compatible.

Mina RoCompletely missing the mini-gun on the port side. As bad as the dozens of huey kits over the last 40 years (before the DML and Kitty Hawk kits of course) that were missing door guns.

Mina RoThe old kit was getting very old and a ,lot of the parts came warped so its really nice to see a new tool for this helicopter. Just hope it has a set of pilots like the old kits had.

Mina RoAny tips for aligning the fuselage of this beast? Plastic seems difficult to line up, mostly near the tail and boom operators station when I test fit it. May have to tape it together and use plastiweld or something. Most the monogram bombers in 1/48 I built years ago never had warping issues like this. hoping I don't screw up the fuselage when attempting this build. They really should make a new tool of the Extender. My spouse loves this plane and insisted on buying it as they come from Fairchild AFB (the R model now of course) and practice touch and go's here weekly so I am going to have to build it. I prefer armor and helicopters but every now and then ill do a plane.

Mina RoDoes anyone know of a source for 1.35 scale numbers decals that could be used for the 3 digit numbers seen on the front forehead location of Russian tanker helmets post WW2 to present?

venserI've found some nice tiny number/letter sets using model railroading search terms, like this N-scale sheet. You should be able to find a surprising number of font and size options, except estimating the precise size could be tricky.

Mina RoCall me crazy but this does not look like current German flectarn camo at all. There should be a lot more dots in the pattern and there is none at all.

Mina Ro AuteurImho I'd go with the Legend Productions set and must admit I got a good deal on the dual set about a year ago. You get enough parts for two different jeeps.
