This kit should be a lot more accurate than earlier models that had a speculate interpreation of the rear part of this submarine, at a time when such information wasn't available to the public.

This kit has some photo etch parts included.

Disregarding the inclusion of the photo etch, this kit is fairly simple, and none of the missile bay doors can be opened.

This kit, is basically four large hull pieces. Assembling these is non-trivial. In addition to dry fitting, it is probably a good idea to glue together the two top parts, and then the two bottom parts, and then finally top and bottom part. It is a good idea to have some quality, larger sanding sticks, so that you don't try work the hull pieces with some puny sanding stick of the wrong grit.

I ended having to add some putty here and there, but I think the end result will be very nice.

The hull has some reseccesed panel lines/detailing, but I haven't yet made up my mind if I want to clean it up, or, just rescribe some of the detailing into primer paint layer.

I suspect I will want to remove the raised details on top, and replace with strip styren for a slightly more crisp look.
