F-15C Eagle - Bitburg 1991

Album image #1
A combination of the Aires Cockpit Set and Eduard Photoetch Parts.

Album image #2
I used the Eduard Instrument with the Aires Resinpart - minor modifications had to be made to fit.

Eduard Photoetch

Trimmed and thinned out the Plastic Parts.

Album image #7
More thinning and trimming...

Album image #8
Eduard Parts are really nice

Album image #9
Minor Detail added to vents - Hasegawa has opened vents, GWHs F-15 don't!

4 Different Missile Rail Launchers:
1: Hasegawa Kit; very Basic, pre-MSIP Launcher
2: Hasegawa Armament-Set; Quite good, but adapter is too long
3: Eduard LAU 127 that comes with the AMRAAM-Set is perfect, but the Adapter is missing, so i shortened the Hasegawa one and will use that.
4: Launcher that comes with the GWH-Kit
A combination of Eduard and GWH would be perfect.

From left to right:
Quickboost, Great Wall Hobby, Aires... GWH looks more like 1/48th scale, compared to the Aires Seat!

Album image #20
We have to take some "social points" there for GWH due to scale failure... 😉

Album image #21
Babysteps towards the finishing line...

Album image #22
Rob Taurus Canopy and Eduard Parts really pay off!

Album image #23
Rear Canopy Parts need to be completed - Eduard Photoetch and Plastic strips...

Album image #24
Album image #25
Eifel Eagle almost complete...

Album image #26
...still a long way to go!

Album image #27
Great Wall Hobby Canopy is too wide and bulky - Rob Taurus takes the lead!

Thank you Mates. I can really encourage you to use Aftermarket vacuum canopies - especially from Rob Taurus. In case of Hasegawa Eagles it is really worth the effort.

Very inspiring! Beautiful Eagle. You've done justice to Hasegawa and to the MDD Fighter.

Thank you for your kind words, Mates - I still think, that the Hasegawa F-15 is the best at the moment (i assume, that the Fine Molds Kit will be superior once it hits the market)
