So, the first attempt at weathering was not entirely successful. I didn't quite get the color right either.

Duster_dI want to say that the kit itself is not bad. I liked assembling it, but the quality of the product, which was manufactured in the USSR, is just terrible! I feel sorry for Soviet modelers. Perhaps, I should have looked for an original FROG kit.

Duster_dThose parts of the kit that were made of green plastic are VERY FRAGILE and do not glue well. Apparently, this is the famous Soviet polystyrene with a yield coefficient of about 4 units (FROG used plastic at least 30).

Gary KitchenNice build. I know what you mean about the Armee de lair colours in my Zumbach builds, I used the Hataka colour set and I was never entirely satisfied with the tones I achieved. Tricky palette.

Duster_dYes, Gary, when I started preparing for painting, I was confused by the fact that the colors in this scheme look very different in different sources (color schemes, paintings, box arts). When I started painting, my confusion increased even more, but in the end I liked the result. Well, the photo turned out to be lighter than "in real life".

Unfortunately, this project was not very successful. I finished it as it is. Maybe I'll make another Blenheim later.

Alex K... for instance, I'm glad you finished this, despite the problems encountered... By the way, I do have a Blenheim I kit from the old Frog/Novo etc tool and, yes, I intend to build it one day, as you did - instead of buying the newer and better Airfix kit. (P.S. The fact that your model depicts a 30 Squadron [VT code] Blenheim I, in desert scheme, is a plus for me and my personal interests - one more reason I'm glad you finished this.)

Duster_dAlex, as far as I remember, K7107 collided with another Blenheim from the 30th Squadron during a training flight, but was able to land. Later, it underwent repairs, did not fly and was destroyed on the ground in April 1941.
