Boeing XF5B-1 / XP-15

High wing parasol monoplane prototype - uses landing gear from P-12B, not F4B-2 - otherwise, both aircraft are able to become the parasol monoplanes.

In the early 80s, I built this in 1/32nd based on the Hasegawa F4B-4 kit - I changed every part except the propeller and wheels. I want to replicate that build (which was featured in FineScale Modeler's pilot issue_ in 1/72, using these Olimp kits. The earlier fuselage is accurate to the conversion, as is the tail. Oddly, the all-metal fuselage was pioneered in these prototypes, then added to the Army and Navy versions.
