B-58 Hustler

This aircraft is built OOB and painted with Testor paints to simulate the SIOP SEA paint scheme that may have been applied to the bomber for testing for deployment to SEA. It was never deployed, but the Air Force tech manuals were printed with a scheme which I used for the model. To create an in service SEA aircraft I used two B-26K Invader decal sets to get smaller national insignia and a second set to provide the red serial numbers and nose art. I used the kit decals for stenciling but they were thick and silvered badly. The kit did not fit well and required a lot of sanding and adjusting.
