Chance Vought F4U-1/2 Corsair 'Birdcage'
So, the B.A.M. Strikes again. Started the rigging and ran out of Zip Kicker Accelerator. Ordered some more but wont come till Friday, so on hold for the time being.
I cut some Albion Alloys 0.25 tubing to make some gun muzzles and connectors. But I may take the connectors back off to clean up.
Zip Kicker may not craze plastic, but it does fog clear plastic. I forgot school boy error. Wondering wether to abandon the project.
I've put the canopy on and it looks sort of okay. Still in two minds to abandon though.
I decided in the end to finish and post. But I have not done this kit justice due to school boy errors. As my end of term report use to state 'Could do better' I will revisit this kit and do it in the USMC Scheme at a later date. Comments and criticism always welcome.

Mark SherwoodThank you Gents for the comments, took the masks off the front canopy and rear fuselage window's. The right side of the canopy lifted, so some repair work there. Finished off some oil work on the wing vents. 👍🥸🤘🥸🤟🥸✊

NeilI don't believe that minor ailment should mean abandoning at all... You'd be crazy to do that mate! I think your build still looks epic 👍 But you really must change your intro picture!! 😁 🙂👍

NeilYes seen. It looks FAB!... You can update the 'Teaser' image, when you update/manage an album... Only a suggestion of course... Please tell me to but out matey, imo it'd showcase your build better - which looks all good to me - no self pity either! 😉

Tamiya 1:48 in the US Navy Pacific Tricolour Scheme, depicting a Jolly Roger from VF17 on board the USS Bunker Hill. Engine wired, Primer done. Trying masking fluid for chipping effect, free handed the camo' first time (also on the Tiger too) quite a bit of overspray, but I think it turned out alright. Begun the weathering, may not use the masking fluid again, but stick to the hairspray method. The exhausts are positioned wrong (but I am doing it in flight and will position it so I don't see my abherrent mistake, so there Har, Har) and the pitot tube is not stock as the carpet monster ate it.
