Got inspired from some modellers on youtube who paint and weather their models with only acrylics, so i decided to give it a try. Iwas pleasantly surprised with the experience - it was basically no different from working with enamels and oils! All you need is a simple set of paints (vallejo in my case) and some retarder. The only thing is that i find it kinda hard to make streaking effects with acrylics, as they tend to fade out and stain instead of forming a nice sharp line. But that could also be because i didn't get it to the right consistency lol. One big advantage of acrylics for me is definitely their much shorter drying time because i basically have zero patience, and being able to move on to the next layer of weathering without worrying about the previous layers rubbing off is definitely something i appreciate. Also they dont smell as bad! Less chances of ne getting sick from modelling

This was also the first time i did winter whitewash! vallejo paints tend to "melt" and peel off instead of flaking off when the layer is too opaque, which kinda made it harder to control the chipping. But nevertheless i think the result looks not bad! Overall very happy wth how this project turned out, and i will definitely be doing more acrylic weathering in the future 😄
