MiG-17F Luftfix 1:72

Announced by Airfix for 2021, already finished for me. The model of the MiG-17F from Airfix from new forms is easy to build. 

The model has been upgraded with: - Eduard 73 695 etched parts set for cockpit, landing gear and landing flaps - Eduard Brassin wheels and nose landing gear - Master AM-72-071 cannon barrels and pitot tubes  

The Air Force of the NVA used the MiG-17 in the versions MiG-17 (1st series), MiG-17F and MiG-17PF from 1957 to 1985. All six air force fighter squadrons were equipped with the MiG-17.
 

From August 10th, 1973 to April 10th, 1974 the 991 was in the aircraft yard in Dresden to be converted to the MARS-2 weapon system. The landing light must be relocated to the model. 

The 991 then flew im JBG-31 until it was decommissioned on October 23, 1985.  

Self-mixed Xtracolor was used for the colors. The very first camouflage paint on some machines turned out to be quite light due to the available colors. 

At the end of the GDR, the aircraft was then scrapped.
