its a chemical I had, I guess it was some Brass browning, as soon as I dipped them in, they turned dark brown, as they dried out they became like this. I also brushed them with a FIBER PEN to get off some excess rust, even like this I think they look too rusty, but with some weathering I guess they will tone down.

Very cool....On my Pershing M26 i used the friul burnishing from" uschi von der rosten ".Worked great,too.

Norbert, the chipping on the star were made with same base color and by using either a piece of foam and dab or by brush, I used both methods

well working step by step, I don't like to think big, I cannot consider myself an expert (master class) only after 5 years of practicing this hobby.
