Thanks Mike... tbh distracting isn't necessarily a bad thing, for i botched the model if you get what i mean 😄
tho i agree, the triangle is probably not the best shape despite being the easiest to produce. i'm gonna look for another shape, something like a V perhaps...

If you want to differentiate from the usual square or oval, why not use the top-view silhouette of the F-15? The base would then be the equivalent to a shadow cast on the ground.

Cheers guys! 😄
About using the a/c silhouette, that was my initial tought however it's beyond my abilities, for i made this base simply by pouring tile grout inside a cast made outta lego bricks - unless some kind soul can guide me how to do complex shapes with household items, basic geometric shapes & golden ratio would be only way for me to go.

You could make a print of a topview from an internet source in the desired size, then bend and fold a strip of cardbard along the outlines and fix this on a carboard base. Pour in tile grout, ready 🙂

Well i'm almost done with the base and the kit, couple of things to add and voila.
As for the base, it ended up as a hexagon unintentionally but it's not looking that bad luckily.

QUESTION:
I am thinking of doing a base for this one to sit on top, which way should the ramp be looking towards folks? Pointy end, straight edge or should i just abondon the idea and do something else? 😄
