Hi Frank - the Trumpeter-Kit has a fitting (until yet) like a Tamiya ones. I#m really astonished!!!

Frank Krause
Good to know! Thanks for info, Mike!

Mike Kryza
I'll try to build my BF similar to the vehicle seen on pic two. Without a Balkenkreuz and a modified front lightning. The BF shows probably brown patches on the grey ground but I decided to paint it only in grey...😄 (not the easiest color...🙁😢 - Beim Bau orientiere ich mich ein bisschen an Bild Nr. zwei.

I´m in, looks like an interesting project.

Hi Albi - but I have no popcorn and beer...😢 - hope you have a liitle bit fun.

A cigar and a malt wiskey will do, Mike! Sitting, too!

The mighty "Bunker-Flak" - I'll stay tuned 🙂
Btw: the newer kits from trumpeter are great, PE included, verry good sometimes great details and fitting. The only thing that can be criticised is that it's quite challenging to remove (especially smaller) parts from the sprues, without damaging them.

Ricardo Gonzalez Ramos
Hi Mike, nice work. Hope to see it finished in Friedrichshafen.
12 May 2013, 16:27
Mike Kryza
@Fabian - you are right - Trumpeter kits are like day and night! But in this kit the little pieces are well molded. Until yet the parts fit unbelievable good. But you must build very clean.
@Ricci - surely the BF is ready! - Hope we can bring some more new models to FN.

Like You, I try to find movable parts in models and not to glue them as long as possible. Waiting for the rest!
28 May 2013, 17:03
Mike Kryza
Yes, indeed, in this case the bowing and not gluing of the part, the front axle will completely be moveable.
28 May 2013, 17:18
Mike Kryza
Sorry - forget uploading the new pics...😢

Christian Meyerhoff
Looks very nice so far!

Mike Kryza
Nest pics - btw, the construction of the tracks was a really quick process and they will be movable.
26 July 2013, 14:47
Frank Krause
Nice, Mike! Sounds great with the tracks. So I can look into a bright future, when I start mine in 2030....😉
26 July 2013, 15:38
Keith Gervasi
Looks like it's going together nicley. Looks great!
26 July 2013, 15:58
Mike Kryza
Frank - the construction of the tracks was as easy like "Friul" ones. (Spend the money for another kit.😉😢
@Keith - thx a lot for your comment. Yes, the fit is very good indeed. One of the best kits Trumpeter produced. There is only the necessity in changing some parts of the flak, because the gun was used only against ground targets, never against planes...
But I will show the changes. 😄

Mike Kryza
a little progress... (with new headlights...)

Mike Kryza
nice and motivating words - thx a lot!
Next step is the construction of the Flak. Here are some considerations about. (See pic 52 to 55.) Pictures say more than words😉
The Bunkerflak was only used against ground targets and not against planes. So all AA-typical equipment was not used.
6 August 2013, 18:38
Mike Kryza
Sorry - I mean the AA-equipment was never added... 😄
6 August 2013, 18:40
Frank Krause
@Mike: I would have build it right from the box. Thanks for the info. What is your source, which parts to drop?
7 August 2013, 05:47
Steve Wilson
Interesting subject Mike...
And a great start👍
Just like modern Coaches though, no thought has gone into the design for the Drivers comfort. Lol!!!😄
7 August 2013, 06:33
Mike Kryza
@Frank - in the first line it was the book "PaK at War" by Trojka/Münch, Nuts & Bolts and other publications about the Flak.
Btw - I forget something. The handwheel (J63, Step 24) must be a double ones. Trumpeter forget one...😢
@Steve - thx, believe me, until now the assembly is pure fun.
7 August 2013, 08:11
Gerald
great thing Mike 👍
7 August 2013, 08:20
Dirk Heyer
Great build, Mike!
I`m impressed about the relative large amount of details!

Could be a project of interest, to finish a model of such a half truck naked. Means only the presentation of the chassis and the engine with all those amazing technique.

Your colour modulation is very impressive. Breaks the monochromatic paint finish a lot.
A nice clean built of an interesting half truck model.

Surely it was very impressive when this huge canon made a shot from this chassis.
There was no spindle for 3 or 9 o clock shots?
7 August 2013, 08:55
Mike Kryza
Gerald - thx --
@Dirk - merci for the kind comment from a "master"!
Indeed, to build a truck in a "naked" version is very tempting. (In my next life😉😢
A grey painted model is always very difficult for me, but I hope this will come to a good end.
And now - your help is needed. What do you mean in the last sentence. Bekomme den Sinn im Deutschen nicht hin.
7 August 2013, 12:15
Mike Kryza
...meinst Du damit den Schußbereich!
7 August 2013, 12:16
Dirk Heyer
Yepp!

7 August 2013, 14:39
Mike Kryza
Ist mir jetzt ein Kommentar abhanden gekommen...???
The BF saw service in Poland, France and Russia, the last ones were lost in (probably) Russia in 1943.
Seitenrichtbereich: 5° - Höhenrichtbereich: -3° up to 15° (Habe meinen Notizzettel wieder gefunden.

Sorry mates, but I've forgotten uploading the pics...🙁 -

Sehr schön geworden! Welche Farben hast verwendet?

👍 Nice job, Mike! 👍 Looks a bit clean, but I'll have to have a closer look on this in FDH. Don't forget to bring it there.

Es-haq Khosravi
Nice Job!!!
20 October 2013, 15:12
Mike Kryza
Thx a lot - uploaded the last four pics. The Album is now finished...😉🙂
@Frank - In the beginning of their life the vehicles are looking relatively neatly and clean - an I'm not a fan of heavy weathering...;)🙂. But you can have a look on the BF in FN - I don't forget it!!!
20 October 2013, 15:23
Es-haq Khosravi
Excellent Job!

Hi Mike,
wondewrfull model.
20 October 2013, 15:41
Mike Kryza
@Es-haq - Thx a lot for your nice comment and
@Ricci - The construction of the BF was only fun. Take it to FN.
20 October 2013, 16:27
Christian Meyerhoff
Hi Mike! The last Picture is the best, cause it shows that your model is painted in grey. All the other pics are a little on the blue side. But anyway, great work on this Bunkerknacker!
20 October 2013, 17:21
Mike Kryza
Yes - you`re right. I take nearly all the fotos with my handycam on the workbench. But I will do soon a session with my Canon and I think we have a very good teacher in our IG with Ingmar...!
20 October 2013, 17:38
Christian Meyerhoff
That`s nice! 🙂
