After the Second World War, there are many remnants of the German Luftwaffe's operations on our territory. Among these remnants a large number of components of the V-1 aircraft missile were found. Among these components, fuselages of the V-1 (Fi 103A-1/Re-4 Reichenberg) were also found. The fuselages of the flying bombs were used to build the VRS-1 Rorys (Reconnaissance Rocket School) and the DOT-2 Straka (Remote Operated Target).
Another interesting piece was the Fi-103/Re-3. It was found in Brno Medlanky, where pilots of this crazy little plane were supposed to be trained. It was repaired and put into airworthy operation and shown at various air events. Mostly it was towed behind a Piper Cub L-4 to an altitude of about 2 km, where it broke loose and the pulse engine was ignited, after which it was flown over the airfield with a great roar and then landed. Although the demonstrations were short, they were always appreciated with enthusiastic applause.
On the occasion of the first joint sports weekend of the South Moravian gliders and aeromodellers in Medlanky in July 1948, a crocodile's mouth was painted on the nose of the aircraft and together with the Brno kite these two machines were the main stars of the memorable air competition.
