As far as I'm concerned FROG kit and it later repacks feature Mk.9 at least - the drag chute is included above the exhaust.

I think it is an early version, as it does not have the toothed wing, this smooth wing wss used on versions up to the mark 4? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to hunters, so please be patient with me 🙂

Hm, I have to admit I didn't think of the wing features, so maybe it's kind of hybrid?

I wouldn't agree.
According to wiki (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawker_Hunter_variants) Mark I didn't carry the underwing tanks and didn't have the drag chute.
You can see a completed one here: pwm.org.pl/viewtopic.php?p=523161.
Described by Mistercraft as Mk.VI, now I noticed Mk.VI was equipped with the chute, not Mk.IX as I previously stated, sorry. 🙂

Well, I decided to take another route anyway, as the revell mk6 kit is a lot better, being a modern tooling and use a backdate set to make a mk4.
Thanks again, Jan
