As far as I know, the Soviets never equipped the Ural version with contact ERA. This happened only in the last few years, mostly as a field modification.
A few vehicles were modified by the Ukrainian military. There are pictures of at least one of them in Ukrainian pixel camo and tracks of T-80. Some other photos of a vehicle in overall green with normal T-72 tracks. However, this one was captured by the Russian military last summer.
Syrian military also equipped their T-72 Urals with contact 1 ERA. Many of them are additionally equipped with TURMS-T system.
DNR Forces have also modified old T-72 Urals. However, the layout of the ERA tiles is different and more reminiscent of T-72B and not like in this kit. The layout here is like the T-72AV.

These are Ukrainian vehicles. According to the post, they are T-72AV hulls and Ural turrets.

They looks sitting there for quite while, definitely not a modern or field modification. Not sure how the original post identified the vehicle though, it's really hard to tell it's a 72a or just an Ural late goes through the reflection-2 update when era covered most of the area..

T-72A don't have an coincidence rangefinder on the right turret side, T-72 Ural have it. It was later removed and replaced by an laser rangefinder on T-72A.

Yes,that's correct. What I mean is how he identified the hull as a 72a hull. The hull of the 72 showed is basicly covered with era and the only thing that can be noticed is the additional armor, which indicates the vihcle undergoes reflection-2 upgrade.

But could also be the hull of T-72M1. But we will probably never know. Not from the two photos and not from this angle. I'll see if I can find more info and photos.
