Hang LiThanks all. The airfield diorama base is made with ABS plastic sheet. The first step is cutting all the tile lines. Then I painted it with wood putty mixed with grey paint for all the tiles. I generally brushed each tile in different directions to create slightly different patterns. Remember to polish the surface to make it flat after the putty dried. I airbrushed most of the tiles next with different grays to create some variations and the last step is some weathering works with oil paints and pastel paints.
