THIS very kit has an interesting story behind it. All of my modeling experiences up until I received this kit were World War II related exclusively. (Minus the Snap-Tite F-4 I built when I was 8...) My wife, wanting to treat me to a new kit, stepped into the local shop to browse after work. She realized; She'd never seen this aircraft in my collection or on my shelves. And so she took it to the store clerk, the owner mind you, and asked him specifically - "Is this an airplane from World War II?" He replied without pause, "It has to be, it's a prop plane." Thus she purchased it and brought it to me ... it was the straw that broke the camel's back as I had been forcing myself to stick to one era with my builds. (I still harass her about it to this day! Haha..)

Personally Edward...
I blame the Shop Keeper, your wife was thoughtful enough to want to buy you a gift, even going so far as to check it's validity for your stash. On being given the wrong answer to her question, as even I, as a Car Model builder, knows that Prop Planes were used right into the '60's, she went ahead and lovingly bought it for you. I too am lucky enough to have a wife who buys me kits she encourages me in my Hobby. There are not many modellers as lucky as us. Cherish her Edward, don't harass her, she's a DIAMOND...

She knows that it's loving harassment, nobody knows better than I just how lucky I am to have a person like her in my life. An example; "Darn it, they deployed the F-22s to South Korea, I guess I need to add that one to my wishlist now too ... it's all your' fault!" (Said with a smirk) - her response is, "Yeah yeah, tell it to Mark," as she sticks her tongue out. (Mark is the owner of the local hobby shop, he's been my dealer for my styrene addiction since I was still in grammar school, though I buy online more often than there now. Since he's a train fanatic I guess I can't blame him for not knowing - but still - at least know the wares you're putting on your' shelf!)

Good to know she responds...
with the stickie-out-tounge!!! Lol ((😄 ))
Had plenty of those in my marriage, when I'm shaving in the mirror, I catch her reflection with the infamous stickie-out-tounge😛
