These parts are made by Singer. They are gold plated.

I don't know, what's "Singer" meaning. But that doesn't play a role because you've finished the kit.

What happend to your suspension? Some frends of mine build the Targa as well as the Coupe and no one ever had any problem that the kit doens't sit on all of it's four wheels or that the rear is that high compared to the front.
I'd like to give you two hints:
-> you've used the front end of the US spec lamps but the bumper on the rear has the European plack bumperttes.
-> I'd paint the front spoiler black as well as the rubber thing between the front bumper an hood / fenders. Then the surroundings of the rear view mirrors are rubber too.

Man. That susspension thing suck somehow. That doesn't fit to this nice interior. Btw: how about the engine compartment?

Hey Bill, I have this one to finish up, need to paint the body. The one with the light blue engine is the one I've completed, it's the light blue bronco with tan roof.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the background info on the kit. When I fit the driveshaft it was pretty tight. Seems like it is pushing the engine forward and the radiator is keeping the hood from closing completely. I was worried something was going to break when I tried shifting things into place so left it for now.

Before the square bumper, weren't the us and eu bumpers different? The us ones had the bars on the top?

Thats right. On the box of the Revell kit, there is the regular bumper. The more luxury models of the Beetle had smaller "bars" in them mounted. The US-spec bumpers can you see on the boxart of the Tamiya 1966 Beetle. The German ones were not that tall like the US. They ended below the cross tube.
