A 36a Apache, Cleveland Racer, High Plane Racers

So, I have the No. #44 as a conversion kit consisting of high-quality resin parts, decals and good instructions. The No. #15 is a complete kit with equally excellent resin parts and white metal parts for the chassis. I haven't decided yet which racer I'll build first. Let's see 

These are the main parts of the kit. It is clearly a short run kit, but the reproduction of the original seems very successful to me. Beautiful engraved surface details and after removal of the sprues and flash a good fit. The Clevland Racer A-36a from High Plane has been on my wish list for a long time. I ordered the complete kit and the Racer#44 conversion kit directly from High Plane Models. Everything worked great and was with me after a week. Thanks again to Christopher from HPM 

The cockpit could use a few more details and I upgraded the pilot's seat with belts. High Plane Models also specifies a second seat as an option in the instructions. I built a second scratch because I think it's possible. The military installations behind the seat were removed. So now there is room for a second pilot for the race or the mechanic.  

The scratch-built rear area behind the pilot is a copy of the internals that High Plane supplies as beautifully cast resin parts in the conversion kit for the Racer #44. When I build the second racer later I will already have a back space

 

 

 

 

I shortened the wing ends according to the instructions and historical photos. The clear part fits well and is now glued on.

Today I wanted to put the decals on, but that turned out to be a mistake?
What kind of Decals High Plane Models are these?
worst case!
Does anyone of you have an idea what I can do now?
Tips for good decal paper that is not too thick? 

With self-made replacement decals on microscale carrier film, things can now continue.

Done, this beauty, the most difficult part of this kit was definitely the decals. They were really rubbish and could only be replaced by something we made ourselves.
Otherwise, the kit is a solid and harmonious basis for an NA-36a Apache Racer and, in my opinion, easy to build. The next racer version of this type is already in the starting blocks.
