Thank you guys for all the nice comments 🤗! To my opinion the Hasegawa 72nd scale 104s are still the best in that scale. They offer great value for money. The German 104 is already 13 years old 😯. I used Alclad on Tamiya Gloss X-1 for that one.

The Japanese „Eiko" 104 BMF was made by applying AK Extreme Metallic Aluminium on black surfacer primer. The shading of panels is done by applying more or less coats of Tamiya smoke. Works remarkably well. And I tried a semi gloss finish this time to make the aluminium less shiny and a little bit more worn out.

@ Markus Antonius: I have made a scratch copy from styrene of a photo etched ladder from Flightpath. The edged ladder is history and the copy survived… 🙂
