Again, I found it very challenging to work with water resin. The most difficult part was the sealing of the base. This time I used pieces of aluminum sheets with silicon seals. However the result is mixed as I spent lots of time to peel the aluminum and the silicon off. Also spent quite some time patching the base for damages caused by the removing of these material. Still looking for a better solution. Any idea or suggestion?

i missed this one before. excellent result about containing the resin, maybe you can use some transparent plastic instead of aluminium, and simply do not remove it. most complicated part would be to cut it just at the right level. or maybe make the container bigger than needed, and cut excess of resin once it is finished, but i am uncertain how would the resin look after being cut and how hard would it be to cut it. just ideas, never tried them myself.

What paint did you use for the ladder ? I find you achieved the perfect result for worn wood.

Great global result by the way. Maybe the two rudders should be parallel ?

Thank you for the nice comments gentlemen. @Spanjarrd thanks for the advice. Recently learned some new trick on YouTube using masking tapes and plastic films for sealing. Tried masking tapes once and it works well. The cutting and sanding will flog the resin but the solution is easy - just to apply another layer of resin on top.
@Oliver I used an after market ladder which is made of wood, so just simple wash and dry brushing for weathering!

I'm liking your work a lot. May I ask how you made the fenders? They look very convincing 🙂

Hi Bruce. Those are resin parts from the kit - that's why it's called 'limited edition' - but I am sure you can find plenty still available
