He had a two bay garage and his wife ran a fruit and vegetable shop from the convenience store side. I had actually bought some resin cast pieces for it when I was living with my wife and kids. I moved out in 2009 so...it's been on the back burner for awhile! 🤣😁
Not entirely happy with the paint. The color, Frog Green, looked great on the site where I ordered it but, we all know the rule concerning monitors...what you see isn't always what you get. Anyway, 3rd Gen AK paint. It was quite thick, actually. Having never used AK paints before, I recommend that you do not thin this particular version with IPA. Don't ask me how I found that out! Just plain water worked, although AK thinner is probably the proper way to go. Either way, the paint still ended up looking like vinyl when it dried. I was a little nervous to try and sand it smooth because I thought it might just peel off, so I put a couple of coats of Mr. Hobby Super Clear on it (very anxiously) and it brightened it up but still has that vinyl looking texture. Oh well. Not gonna lose any sleep over it. It is what it is.
The kit itself was Tamiya's usual standard. No fit issues or any other worries. Of course, to make it somewhat of an official Mr. Bean, it has to have the lock on the door! 10 minutes in Tinkercad, 45 minutes in the 3D printer and there you have it.

Mike Thomas Elegoo Mars 2 Mono...not the Pro. The Pro has a red cover, the Mars 2 is green. It's actually a bit of a dinosaur now, as far as resin printers go. It's only a 2K resolution...I think 8K is the standard now. Higher resolution gives you just that, higher resolution prints meaning sharper details.
Mike Thomas Thanks, folks! It's been awhile. I got away from this build after some frustrations with other parts. I will get back someday but for now, it sits in a box in my stash.
@Emanuel & Mark. The material is just your basic resin kit bought from Michael's Craft Store. Two part rubber for the mold, two part resin for the tires. I made a few attempts at molding one piece tires but just couldn't get it to work, so I ended up molding each half and joining them with epoxy.
