I know what you mean, my eyesight is not as good as it once was. My hearing is good though but I get selective deafness when my wife wants me to do a chore! I used to buy bagged Airfix kits in Woolworths in the early 70's, with glue straight from tube and fingers stuck to the fuselage!

Yeah i remember that infamous tube cement and all the things it does
Ad to models like finger print texture on fuselages and beutifully fogged
Clear canopies and lets not forget the spider web like strings all over the plastic
Damn! I think I was even hooked on that stuff cause i build more models than ever
