Hi Andres, this kit brings back fond memories of my first steps into model building. As a kid I built the Jolly Rogers version and man, did I have a hard time! But...I was extremely proud of my achievements! until my friend broke off both wheels while sweeping the wings in and out... 🙁
Either way, I like your weathered and beaten up look and I especially like that it's a VF-114 bird as those are quite rare in our modeling universe. 👍
one thing though: During the movie tensions are high, so high that an F-14 collides with a Soviet bomber. It would therefore (and for other reasons) be highly unlikely to have live Sidewinders but inert Sparrows and Phoenixes as load out. Yellow bands denote an active warhead and brown bands an active rocket motor. Blue bands denote an inert or captive round and I saw how painstakingly you masked those off. I therefor hope my comment helps and doesn't come too late! 🙂

Hey thanks . I had no idea of the color coding of the missiles. The color that I've got was due a screwup that turned out Ok , I've used rust oleum gloss and Dull one, but it attacked the paint too much, more than I would've wanted. The first one that I built was long time ago 20+ yrs. it was the Jolly Rogers, I still have it... in pieces . But thanks I'll try to correct the color of the bands.
