Slavo Hazucha Proud to be the first on board! You have a nice collection of aftermarket goodies there too! Looking forward to see this big fellow take shape!

Nathan Dempsey This one has been in limbo for a long time awaiting the proper subject. In the meantime the aftermarket items slowly built up... Now that I discovered the Advanced Modeling decal set that contains the subject of a pilot who gave his life doing his duty. Hopefully I can do it justice.

Palo M Is it the one shot down over Syria?

Nathan Dempsey That's the one.

Slavo Hazucha There is actually an Su-34 named after the killed pilot, one of the newer planes built recently - red 10 - the Eggplant grey was an interim color pattern, which is discontinued and they are rolling out camouflaged 34's and 35's again...

I'm playing with the idea to do a Su-24 too, to complete the side-by-side config 2-seater theme after the F-111. Is the Trumpeter kit a good starting point?

Nathan Dempsey Yes, it's a fine starting point for sure.

Augie Oo I am in.

Palo M Nathan, that's an impressive list of aftermarket improvements, not sure I'll go that far in. The Aires pieces do look tempting, as does the PE big Ed.

Nathan Dempsey All of those goodies were purchased over a long period of time. The main additional parts needed are the exhausts. This is the only part on the kit that is way off from reality. The other stuff could be done without resin additions. I'm just a bit lazy in my building most of the time :)

Palo M Nathan, same here :) I also don't spend too much time checking mistakes in the kit, thus these imperfections are invisible to me :). Will take a look and maybe add the exhaust to the shopping list. Thank you!
