nice!i have seen this one for real at sola in norway,they salvaged it from a fjord.it's laying in a gigantic bath tub now for de- salting,when this is finished they will restore the plane and put it in the museum at sola.have a good time building it!

Struts! My bane., So far, I snapped a tail strut and now it looks like crap. The attachment of the pontoons went okay with the veritcal struts, but the diagonals were, are, and probably will be hellish. The thing is, the diagonal float strut probably won't be noticed, but the insignificant tail strut sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb.

The nose glass was tricky, too, but I prevailed in that, only to deal rather cavalierly with the 'rocking' canopy, which took a good deal of fiddling, filing and gap glue.
