Being from Burlington Ma, I grew up in the Blizzard of '78 and that was snow! I do remember these trucks and how they did there jobs. You always moved off the street when you saw them or heard 'em coming!

AH!!! Do you still live in MA? We always hoped for snow days, but the plows always game just ahead of the school bus!
I've been in CA since 76 so I missed that storm, but I remember one we had in the late 60s?, When we got out that morning the snow was knee deep. There was so much snow they had to get out the big wing plow to push the snow banks back because the regular plows couldn't get it up any higher!. We built some pretty cool snow forts under those giant piles at the end of the sidewalks. Fun times !! I miss MA.
