I've just ordered some Friulmodel ATL-16 tracks for my Takom King Tiger and I will start to build this kit in a couple of weeks!
I'm really looking forward to build the full interior and I shall also try to add wiring where applicable, and where it fits. (and if it makes sense?)
So far I've only used Tamiya and Vallejo paints but for this tank I've ordered Ammo of Mig paints because they were pretty much exact right out of the bottles and I didn't have to mix and experiment prior... I hope it pans out.
I wish the ammunition included in the kit were separate and not in chunks like they are. Aftermarket ammunition seems to be rather expensive in order to complete the whole kit so that's not a viable option for me at the moment. I'll just have to build the kit and see what it looks like in the end.
The model will be displayed in three separate parts I think so you can see the interior and such and some of the ammo will be obscured anyway?
Really looking forward to getting started!

Hey Jens, before you start to build this one you should check the lower hull if its not bend. Mine was. I had some issues with fitting the engine and close the hull.
If you got the MIG Paint sets for the Tiger II you have to shake the brass paint bottle very well.
If you need some references or hints you can look into my build: Sd.Kfz.182 Tiger II - Pz.ABT.505 - HENSCHEL TURRET w/ZIMMERIT | Album by Igi87 (1:35)

Thanks for the tips Ingo! I did check the lower hull as soon as I opened the box because I'd read about someone having problem with a bent hull... Mine looks spot on so far but I'll see for sure when the build commence...
I noticed that the MIG brass paint was really cumbersome to shake, and it would really benefit from a steel ball like the other MIG paints have. So far the pigment is still pretty much just stuck in the bottom of the bottle but I'll sort that out prior to paint. I'm going to paint another tank with the MIG paints before the King Tiger so I'm not diving in blind. You learn a thing or two when getting older and practice is one of them😉
I will surely look at your build to get inspiration! Thanks for your post!
