I've been looking to get one of these for some time. No way I'm gonna pay over $200 for the new Revell KIT (as much as I'd like it !!)! I saw this on ebay a week or so ago. The guy in Florida stated it as open, sealed inside, minor box damage. It had a $39.99 BIN w/Make Offer, Free Shipping!!, so I offered $35, he accepted.
It came today. The box isn't really bad at all just a bit wrinkled 'cause it's one of those darn open end cartons (I hate them with a passion).
The inside bags were all sealed and everything in perfect shape. I see most of these going for $75 up, so $35 is a bargain! AND, besides, the newer ones don't have the Han & Chewy figures. They have more parts, 85 compared to 52, what the extra parts are I don't know, but the outside detail looks the same to me.

These SnapTite kits ARE NOT 1/72 scale !!! Most that I see are saying 1/72 but they are not!
Revell's website does not give a scale even for the newer (85-1822). Neither the box or the instructions state a scale anywhere. The KIT Falcon (85-5093) IS stated at 1/72 scale and is 17-15/16" long. This kit is 14.7" long. This kit says 2014 on the box, 2012 on the instructions, and 2006 molded inside the body. It is the same as the 06658 initial release kit from 2006.

If you look up the specs of the YT-1300 it is 34.52 meters long. Do the math and this is approx. 1/92 scale !!!
Anyway, It looks super nice to me! It's pre-decorated, so all I really have to do is weathering/shading if I choose to (I will). The detail looks great,,,, don't know how it could be much better.

Why everywhere these are stated as 1/72 scale is beyond me.

Anyway, I'm real happy with it. I got it cheap, it will be a SNAP to build, and will look great !!
