Well,,, I've been eyeballing this one at Hobby Lobby the past month or so. I really like the decal scheme! I already have the F-15E Strike Eagle, so I didn't buy it,,, up till now!! They still don't have the new 66 Suburban in yet, I already got the Star Wars X-wing,,, I had to buy SOMETHING today !!!
It was only $17.xx OTD. Has a super nice decal sheet that covers the entire bottom of the box!
So when I opened it up I wasn't really surprised that it still has raised panel lines!
Hmmm, I thought,,,, so must the Strike Eagle,,,, NOT SO ! The 2011 Strike Eagle Kit was a new tool in 2000, re-released in 2011 (mine), and has nice scribed lines and is put together a bit differently, the horiz stabs are not molded to the upper body half, what else I don't know yet.
I bought the Strike Eagle in Feb 2016 and it was only $3 more than this kit.
Not to say that this isn't a nice kit,,, IT IS !! Based on the old Monogram kits. I'm seeing lots of nice detail !
But if you're looking at this one thinking it's a New Tool,,, IT ISN'T !
