Yes Lukas the two kits are different toolings. The revell one has a bit more detail and better payload options.

what does tooling mean?? is that like the quality of the kit??

Tooling means the die used to make the plastic kit. A large solid block of steel or sometimes copper that is machined using a CNC computer controlled milling machine. The die is made from two or more parts and is used to inject the polystrene plastic into to form the model kit! In this case two total different dies have been made and share nothing in common with the kit parts. The tooling can cost lots! eg $40,000 + so this why not many complete new kits come out each year!

After 11 years, I checked here and found out that this model with Monogram moldings has again been misaligned with the Revell molding timeline.
