This is an old kit but in fact quite a good kit of the P-51D Mustang. With some work it can be built to an nice little replica.

First, this i the only P-51D Mustang that can be built without the "dorsal spinfin" right out of the box. The flaps on the wings can easily be cut and installed hanging. The interior can be uppdated with the Aires cockpit for the Tamiya kit. Wheels and landinggear is also out there on the market for the new Airfix kit and can be used for this kit as well. And there are two propellers in the Airfix kit that can be usefull for this kit as well.

With some sanding and rescribing of the panellines (don't bother to rescribe the panelline on the wings, they where mostly filled, sanded and painted on the real thing). With little work you can have an early P-51D that nobody can find out the origin...
