M4A1 Sherman tank was amongst other places manufactured in Renton, Washington state, not far from my house. The 2nd photo shows one such brand new tank wading thru the Cedar river. This photo was used as an inspiration for my Tamiya model in 1/48 scale. It was built out of the box, weathering was kept to a minimum with exception of some scratches, dusting and mud on the wheels and tracks as this was supposed to be a new machine on factory "test drive". I 3D printed the base and then added grout to form the terrain and some gravel. After painting the base i mixed clear resin with green pigment to get the right tint of the water. Figure is from Tamiya M8 howitzer box. Model 23 for 2023!
