Academy's F-14A in 1:48 scale (maybe don't buy it)

So this is a troubled kit apparently:
1) The front windshield require some re-work by moving the front scribed edge, forwards.
2) I thought at first I had to lengthen the nose, but I might just shave off the bottom of the nose, and look at other stuff.

I wish the decals/paint scheme was different, but I can always get a better kit later that looks different.

Note: The aftermarket wheels, was made for a Hobby Boss F-14kit, but it works. The main wheels appear to fit nicely with the Academy kit, but the nose wheels need some fix to fit onto the nose landing gear kit part.

Fixes to be made (updated):
1) Keep nose length, but shave off bottom and make top more narrow around the front canopy glass.
2) Add flaps and slats
3) Add inflated pad behind the wing (assuming this is to be so on takeoff)
4) Add Aires cockpit
5) Add resin wheels
6) Add resin sidewinder I had left over
7) Sharpen the model, thinning wings, lowering any excessively raised details.
8) Create a launch pad/deck
9) Reposition fuel tanks, more forwards and more out to the side.
10) I just went ahead and bought some Aim-54A missiles from Eduard. :|
11) Maybe some minor photo etch to be added. Don't want to spend too much money on all of this.
12) Create the four nav lights with clear parts, around intakes.
13) Try fixing the front and main canopy parts.
14) Add a tiny clear part to sensor pod at front.
15) Make the rear stabilizers move, create a new joint.
16) Clean up the kit nozzle parts.
17) Replace the two large vent openings on top, with sheet styrene.
18) Fix the bottom fins, change angle and shape of intake.
19) Maybe try clean up the decals, by cutting them straight if possible.
20) Try create two inflated air bags behind the wing root. These bags inflate when the wings are extended, to impove airflow.
21) Fix the air intakes, add 0.5 mm width on the insides.
22) Remove the ECM antennas beside the two large air intakes.
23) Fix the flappy things that lie onto the wings on top.
24) Reshape the two thin large and two small edges just over the air intakes.
25) Try reshape the outer opening for the cannon.
26) I re-made the arrestor hook.
27) I removed the ecm parts.
28) I made the inner fans look like fans and added stand offs, adding an interesting shadow if anybody manages to actually look inside the two air intakes.
29) I will add nose length by 2-3 mm.
