as "scratch'n'bash" building goes this format is probably more straight forward than you might think,

WW2 planes with wide fuselages make it easier to fit any scale figure you like (almost)
I've had to trim rather a lot from the 1/35 driver to get it to fit a 1/48 skinny Spitfire fuselage, but would be a lot easier with a radial engined fuselage, saw the wings off and chuck some wheels on, add some creative painting and voila, one plane car !! 😄

Scrap kits are ideal because even if you balls it up you aint lost anything,

nice idea Choppa 🙂 it will be hard to hold the balance with this racer - but to cool 👍

Ah yeah, I had thought about that and I think how I'm going to do it is weight the wheels by flattening them where they touch the road and putting ballast in the correct end so it balances on the axles, then glue on the wheels at the right angle of "levitation" so to speak and should hold reasonably wheel.
Handily the prop end is like a separate cap and can be glued on when the car is balanced 🙂

I'm think it would drive like a Segway but with a massive prop on the back so it can drift but with loads of thrust still, good for doing 180 spins to fire on people behind you and other robot war style spinny attacks 😄
