I couldn’t resist it, so it’s on order ?

Something isn’t right with the torpedorail. On the plan you see the rail is positioned flat on the body and flat on the torpedo. With the rail which comes with the kit that isn’t the case. I struggled a week with looking up how it should work, finally I found this plan that’s shows the correct position. I taped electrical pipe (pvc 16mm, same diameter as the torpedos) on the right position and glued the rail pieces under the right degree (see the red circle on the right)angle on the sub. And then filled the gap with filler.

So, time to continue with the torpedos (where I’m going to let them, as I’m planning not to fiton on the sub?) and de trailer…
It was quite a challenge, a whole resin kit

Just to get an impression. The wooden beams are way too big, but it gives an idea what we are looking at. The Hanomag SS-100 and the Seehund loaded on the Sd.Ah. 115. As calculated, the 115 could barely carry the Seehund, that’s why the torpedos aren’t fixed. They weighted about 3000 kg together. A scalemate offered me his Sd.Ah 116 from Tamiya. I am very happy with that, it’s bigger and can load much more weight. The 116 is only available with the 8t FAMO in which I don’t have interest.

The Sd. Ah. 116. Just a pic, not the one I will receive.

Album info

I got my hands on this old Verlinden kit, so let's buckle it up a transporter, as I bought Takoms Hanomag SS-100 and Das Werk Sonderanhänger 115.
