May I introduce my current model build - the Takom Chieftain Mk10 1:35. This was donated to me by Robin at Robin's Scale Models as he will be unable to finish it. Robin got all the photo etch, white metal tracks, lenses, etc for this kit, so I will be pushing my skills level to do it justice! The final model will be finished in the Berlin Brigade urban camo - again, the most complicated scheme I have attempted. The final diorama will also incl the Takom APC FV 432 Mk.2 and Accurate Armour CVR Fox AFV.
WIP update!...masking marathon completed, some minor touch up reqd....see images 9,10 & 11…used official Berlin Brigade RAL colours - Zero paints from Hiroboy recommended....warning, dont use the Takom kit colour chart (photo backgrd) as it is full of mistakes - refer publication image 6 instead.
Build completed...Robin passed away on 3 Jan...RIP...hope he would have liked it...
Crew figures from Studio 52; light city grime weathering as these tanks didnt get muddy! No significant chipping etc either as these tanks were repainted each year for the Allied Forces Day parade!
