Revell. 1/32 Me262 A1

Album image #1
While the parts are drying after the soapy wash I take care of the box too make it usable.

Album image #2
Revell keeps on making this side opening box style because it is cheaper and environmental better because it saves on paper.....

Album image #3
So I just unglue it

Album image #4
And join the sides with staples

Album image #5
Here they are

Album image #6
Album image #7
So easy. This way the box became usable and the planet will live a few seconds more... ?

Album image #8
Meanwhile parts are dried. It's August and I should be at the beach it's only a mile away.

Album image #9
Until now I've been cleaning parts and building as much as possible without the need for painting.

Album image #15
I could clean a few more parts but I am getting bored so let's start painting.

Album image #16
For me there is a limit for cleaning and cutting parts . That`s why my models take too long to be finished. Some modeler`s can paint all the parts of the same collor at once. I can`t. I need to make a break from time to time and make other things.

Album image #17
Anyway this time I`ve painted a few parts of «green». Gun barrels have been hollowed and painted......waisted time....nothing will be seen.

Album image #18
Album image #19
....And gray...

Album image #20
Album image #21
Album image #22
Has I told before this kit was a bargain. Why ?

Album image #23
Ups

Album image #24
Another ups....

Album image #25
This is also a challenge to join...

Album image #26
Has I told before due to the poor quality of the kit I decided to make it with all access doors and hatches closed and to not waist time on interiors. Anyway I hollowed and painted the gun barrels wich took me some time and at the end nothing will be seen. Also details on the body are almost invisible and must be rescribed.

Album image #27

Album image #28
Well I open the hole here in case someone needs to start the engine.....

Album image #29
Album image #30

Album image #31
I wonder how am I going to rescribe this.....there was a one and a half mm gap between wing and fuselaje on this side. Also the wing fairing on the fuselaje was a lot higher.

Album image #32

Album image #33

Album image #34
....not finnished yet.......

Album image #35
Album image #36
who cares about the interior if the exterior stinks ? The fit of the engine nacells its not so bad but it is anyway. Few more days of worki

Album image #37
Album image #38
This picture is to help our mate Ninetails to decide which Me262 to buy. Thi is the left side wing join all leveled from the front to the rear. If you look the original you have steps at the rear and front.

Album image #39
Right side not finnished yet.

Album image #40
The gun bay doors after a lot of work.....

Album image #41
the other side

Album image #42
Rear botom join of the wing. You will get a nice heavy step in here also.

Album image #43
The details in engine nacelles are invisible but the parts fit so badly that large steps will have to be eliminated. So, every details have to be rescribed again.

Album image #60
Album image #61
This is the way I choose to mask the tail. It was tedious and its hard to make round edges.

Album image #62
Album image #63
Left side.....

Album image #64
Right side with masks ready for painting

Album image #65
Once again I`m using the montex stencil`s. Not easy but if it goes well the final result its a million times better than decals. Anyway don't forget: never use montex masks over laquer paint.

Album image #66
white first

Album image #67
Than the tricky part. Applying the fine lines to make the white edges

The kit is so bad because the German's ran out of materials and man power towards the end of the war

One thing I've never heard from anybody. I need to make a video about. Never ever use Monte masks over laquer paint. Even if they have been drying for days. I already tested with Tamiya and hataka. The mask glue will stay on the paint
